The restoration of All Saints
With the completion of the rewire at All Saints Church, the Friends are now looking towards the next major project.
The new focus is the creation of a kitchen area and toilets at the rear of the church. The hope is that this will allow an increase in the number of events being held in the church as well as the size of the events.
David Stone, from the Friends, recently gave an article to the Dereham Times about all the work which has been carried out in the church.
All Saints' Church Swanton Morley is part of the Dereham and District Team Ministry.
The Ministry has responsibility for Parishes of Dereham, Beetley with East Bilney, East and West Bradenham, Hoe, Scarning, Shipdham and Swanton Morley.
The Dereham Team and District Team Ministry is led by Canon Sally Theakston, the Revd. Adrian Aubrey-Jones and the Reverend Gill Wells, assisted by the Reverend Jane Nursey, and the Reverend Kenneth Pilgrim with Alan Barrett, Lydia Crick and Evelyn Speed (Readers). Michael Callow is the Parish Administrator based at Church House

Bell Ringing at All Saints
All Saints' Church Swanton Morley has an active band of ringers.
The ringers practice each Friday night at the tower, with the practice starting at 7:30pm. In addition to the practice the ringers ring prior to Sunday services, weddings and other special services.
The ringers are always on the look out for new members of the public to come forward to learn to ring. You do not need to be musical, attend church or be strong. All you need to be is enthusiastic and ready to learn a new and exciting hobby.
